Welcome to my portfolio!
I'm really glad you're here, and there's a lot of material that I would love to share if you have the time. Above, you'll find links to the projects I've worked on, my current resume, and my github page where most of my work is stored.
Below, you'll find a contact form, as well as some of my personal philosophy on web development, why I'm passionate about it, and where I think the future is taking us and how I plan to be involved in that journey. I'm still relatively new, but I'm constantly working towards new and exciting ventures that allow me to capitalize on my strengths and passions while adding value to the community at large.
Thank you for taking the time to read through, and I'd love to hear from you if you have any questions or want to know more!
"We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down." -Kurt Vonnegut Jr.I don't think it's unfair to say that the biggest roadblock to improving business results and deliverables is the fear of adaptation. One of the things that I'm the most passionate about in the work that I'm doing is making things that are future proof and resilient to the changing tides of business and culture.
That's why I think the biggest opportunity around development is in adaptability. Not only adapting the solution to meet the unique needs of the problem, but also making sure that the solution is built in a way that can handle whatever needs are expressed in the future. I'm a huge believer in adaptability, both as an individual and as a developer.
"I really try to put myself in uncomfortable situations. Complacency is my enemy." -Trent ReznorThe landscape of development has been a varied series of frameworks, best practices, and improving results. The pain in that is that you're always one step behind whatever the newest trend is. The beauty in that is that the options for future development are essentially limitless. There's always a fresh perspective or a new idea to work through to improve what you're doing already.
Innovation is the lifeblood of program and project development. I believe in always being aware of the next trending workflow, and optimizing current strategies based on those options. By recognizing what the next improvements could be, you maintain an understanding of the best way to develop your future plans.
"My powers are ordinary. Only my application brings me success." -Isaac NewtonMore important (or, at least, as important) as the innovation and unique application of development solutions is the implementation of those resolutions. Having ideas is great, actually making those ideas work within your environment is totally different.
I think the most important part of the design process is ensuring that the solution you deliver not only works, but is also easy and sensible to integrate into the existing platforms and designs. Implementation is the line between having a solution that works well within your environment, or having a solution that creates additional issues.
